Fulong Fishing Port

To fulfill local shipping vessels’ demand of berthing, the gravel beach was dug into a bay in 1969 and the port not has a berth of 1.02 hectares and a wharf of 681m. Vessels of Fulong are mainly engaged in inshore fisheries including long line, stick-held dip net, pole and lines boots, driftnet and trawl fisheries in fishing grounds around Sanjiao Bay and Guishan Islet.
The vessels usually travel forth and back within a day and their main catches are whitebait, Butterfishes, skipjack tuna, neritic squid, Greater Amberjack and miscellaneous fishes.
About 50% of the catches are sold to businessmen who come here to buy, 30% are transported to fish markets around Keelung to sell, and 20% are sold to local.
