Ingredients (2 portions)

Approximately 400g of tilapia
A few shredded scallions
A few shredded chili peppers
A little cornstarch dissolved in water


4 slices of ginger
1 spoon of rice wine
A little salt
6 sections of scallion
2 spoons of soy sauce

Cooking method

  1. Wash fish clean and scratch the fish two times. Pickle it with marinade for 30 minutes.
  2. Put pickled fish in a steam pot and steam for 20 to 30 minutes with marinade (steaming time varies depending on the size of fish).
  3.  After the fish is well steamed, take scallions and ginger out from marinade. Heat up oil in a pan and add shredded scallions, chili pepper and gravy from the steamed fish. Stir-fry the ingredients and add salt to season. Thicken with cornstarch and sprinkle on the steamed fish.


  Scallions and ginger in marinade can be stuffed in the stomach of fish to remove fishy smell.
