As Huanggang Fishing Port in Jinshan District is located at the estuary of Huang River, it is affected by terrains, ocean currents and the transport of sand at the river, making sand drift offshore easily deposit at the fishing port due to ocean currents. Fisheries and Fishing Port Affairs Management Office, New Taipei City has requested funds to Fisheries Agency, Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs to carry out a sedimentation improvement research project to search for a long-term improvement solution to make the fishing port operate normally.
