Tamsui Lover’s Bridge which looks like a white sail stretches across the second fishing port in Tamsui, and it is the landmark of Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf. The bridge was officially open to the public on February 14, 2003, and has been officially named Lover’s Bridge. Every day when the sun sets, you can take in the beautiful views of Lover’s Bridge and sunset from the wooden boardwalk around the port. The beautiful views always make people enjoy themselves so much that they do not want to leave. Additionally, it has become a famous dating spot. The Office promotes the project of “Saying Hi to Fishing Ports” to decorate Lover’s Bridge with a light show to display the bridge with colorful lights. Moreover, the light show is displayed with music that is sometimes uplifting, and sometimes soft. The light show with music will add more romantic atmosphere to nights at Fisherman’s Wharf, promoting night economy at the fishing port.
The event will be held in LOVE Square in front of Lover’s Bridge. The venue will be decorated with glass high heels, rose lights, and other installation art to bring more romantic atmosphere on Valentine’s Day. From 2PM to 4PM on the day of the event, photographers will take photos for people by Lover’s Bridge to give them everlasting and beautiful memories. The photos will be printed out at the scene, and people may claim them at the service desk and take them home as souvenirs. Additionally, 50 couples at the scene can sign up for the archery competition of “Love by Shooting an Arrow” that will start at 4PM. These couples will be able to witness their love for each other by shooting an arrow together. Participating couples can win 3 participating awards (Lover’s Bridge limited edition Ferrero Rocher chocolate, SUBWAY coupon, and the coupon of half a price for the second person for two customers consuming together at Cafe.Waiting.Love Fisherman’s Wharf Store). Moreover, the top three winners can win a good gift from Cupid (hotel gift voucher or dining voucher). The greatest award is a one-night stay at a double room with the sea view at Fullon Hotel Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf (worth NT$14,800).
