Geologically formed by rocks, Liukuaicuo Fishing Port is located on the coast nearby No. 10 Bridge next to Danjin Road in Tunshan Neighborhood of Tamsui District in New Taipei City.The majority of its berth surface comes out from the water on the ebb and its water course heading towards the ocean is so narrow that only local small-size vessels and sampan can pass through. With its mouth opened to the west, it has a -2.0m water depth wharf of 234m and a berth of 3,000 m2.

Vessels of Liukuaicuo Fishing Port are mostly engaged in pole and lines boots, drift gillnet, long line fisheries in oceans around Shimen and Tamsui.

They usually travel forth and back in one day and work 3 nautical miles away from the coast.Their main catches are mostly eel larvae, whitebaits, Japanese black porgy and Spanish
mackerels.
