Located in Wanli District, Yeliu Fishing Port was firstly built in a natural bay on the western side of Yehliu Peninsula during Japan’s domination.

To respond to the enlarged vessel size and to ease the congestion of local ships, Yeliu Fishing Port has extended its wharf to 1,193m and expanded its berth to 50,700 m2 until 2000. Vessels of Yeliu are mainly engaged in gill net, long line, pole and lines boots, trawl and stick-held dip net fisheries in oceans of Pengjia Islet, East China Sea and South China Sea.

Their catches are mainly Butterfishes, pomfret, black and white croaker, ridged swimming crab, Swordtip squid, inshore squid, larval fish, anchovy and red big eye. After the transaction, fishing goods are classified, packed and delivered to central or southern Taiwan, whereas some are transported to Keelung or Taipei for sales.
