Houcuo Fishing Port

Located on the south end of Beishi River in Danjin Road of Sanzhi District in New Taipei City, Houcuo Fishing Port is the only fishing port inside Sanzhi district. With its mouth opened to the west, it has a -1.5m water depth wharf of 380m and a berth of 16,300 m2.Vessels of Houcuo Fishing Port are mostly engaged in pole and lines boots, drift gillnet and long line fisheries in oceans around Shimen and Tamsui. They usually travel forth and back in one day and work 3 nautical miles away from the coast.

Their main catches are mostly eel larvae, whitebaits, Japanese black porgy and Spanish
mackerels.
